1 - Briefing and Research :

First, I communicate with the client to fully understand the specifics of the desired asset. We discuss the intended use, required level of detail, performance constraints, and visual style. Based on this, I conduct inspiration research and create a mood board to confirm the creative direction and technical details.

2 - Types of Assets I Can Create :

I can create various types of 3D models, including objects and accessories, environments, characters, textures and materials (also procedural), as well as special effects and particles. Specializing in Blender, I can provide you with procedural elements, simulations, and internal plugins (Python scripts) for this software. The assets created will be exported according to the client's needs, ensuring compatibility with different 3D engines or rendering software.

3 - Asset Creation :

Based on the approved specifications, I model the asset while adhering to technical requirements (polygon count, general shape, etc.). Depending on the concept agreed upon with the client, the modeling can be standard (low poly, high poly) or procedural (a parametric tool-shaped asset).

If included in the order, I create textures and materials according to the appearance defined with the client. To confirm the asset's appearance, I integrate it into a typical lighting scene, allowing for a preview of its final render under specific lighting conditions.

Depending on the project’s needs (especially for games or AR/VR applications), I make adjustments to reduce texture size or polygon count, without compromising visual quality, to ensure good real-time performance.

4 - Animation Preparation :

Once the asset modeling is complete, there may be a preparation stage for animation if the desired asset is intended to be animated. This primarily involves rigging for character models, but also includes preparing the animatable parameters of the asset through procedural modeling. Generally, I ensure optimal distribution of influences for natural deformations. The skinning is adjusted to guarantee smoothness and realism in movement. The rigging is configured to provide maximum flexibility and ease of animation, allowing for dynamic poses and precise control of each joint without compromising the integrity of the model.

5 - Optimisation

Depending on the project’s requirements (especially for games or AR/VR applications), I make adjustments to reduce texture size or polygon count without compromising visual quality, ensuring optimal real-time performance.

Delivery

6 - Revisions and Adjustments :

I submit the asset to the client for any feedback. Based on their requests, I make the necessary adjustments to meet expectations in terms of details, textures, or shapes.

7 - Finalisation et export :

After final approval, I export the asset in the appropriate formats (FBX, OBJ, etc.) based on the intended integration. The files are provided with the necessary textures and materials for seamless integration into the client's project. The source files are also provided upon request.

8 - Post-Project Follow-Up :
